The day was a little bit rainy and cool but the tradition of running on New Year’s Day lives on. Wayne ran his American 4-4-0 and I ran my Pacific Coast Shay #213. The cool air makes the steam look like smoke. On hot days, the steam is nearly invisible. Since we fire with propane there is never any actual smoke.
