Dateline: August 2002, Green Bay, Wisconsin
While vacationing with my parents in Wisconsin, we decided to make the 3-1/2 hour drive up to Green Bay to visit the National Railroad Museum. I have wanted to visit the museum for quite some time since it is the home of several very nice steam locomotives including Big Boy #4017. The drive up and back was very nice as the weather was clear and the company was good. The museum has a very nice collection of locomotives and cars. Most are under cover and some actually are in an enormous air-conditioned building. Besides Big Boy #4017 then also have a very nice GG1 in the main train shed. I got lots of pictures (over 150). Some of them are shown below.
